This project was undertaken to create an attention-grabbing advertisement for the Nasdaq Tower in Times Square. The objective was to design a visually striking ad that effectively conveyed the messaging provided by the PR and Marketing teams. The project involved collaboration with PR and Marketing teams to ensure effective messaging. Additionally, I took the initiative to learn After Effects, enabling me to create the entire animation myself. This case study explores the process, challenges faced, and the final outcome of the project.
The Nasdaq team had a few suggestions and advice on what makes for a good ad—the biggest being to not use any fast flashes of light or graphics as to not jar the passersby. There was also the challenge of working around all of the windows; luckily Nasdaq mapped those out in the working template so I just had to make sure the text was legible within those constraints. I also had the challenge of time, where I was only given a week to storyboard the animation, workshop messaging with marketing, and then begin to actually design the full ad.
The graphic design project for Outreach's advertisement on the Nasdaq Tower in Times Square exemplified successful collaboration between graphic design, PR, and Marketing teams. By leveraging my graphic design skills and self-learning After Effects, I was able to create a visually captivating animation that effectively conveyed Outreach's messaging to a large and diverse audience. The final ad, displayed in the heart of Times Square, contributed to enhancing Outreach's brand visibility and amplifying their marketing efforts.
